Baltimore’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

Welcome to the Map.

Here’s to the crazy ones.

The Map represents the thriving entrepreneurial community of Baltimore.

It’s more than a list of resources– it is a visual representation of the innovation ecosystem of the city.

The ones who see things differently.

Many of the organizations in Baltimore are multifaceted, providing multiple services and representing various entities.

In order to represent this, a system of visual icons was used to describe various roles and details about each organization.

They’re not fond of rules.

The Map is by no means complete, and I venture to say it never will be.

Ecosystems are alive and ever-changing; their representations ought to be as well.

I am constantly updating the Map, adding new organizations, more information about existing entries, and design elements to make it easier to navigate & interact with.

If you are a representative of one of the organizations on the map and would like to discuss your entry, message me at

I especially want to talk to students at the included universities to learn about what else your institutions have to offer.
